Monterrey

As capital of the industrial state of Nuevo Leon and Mexico's third largest city, Monterrey is one of the most important production and trade centers in the country. Monterrey is one of the world's largest producers of steel, glass, and beer. With more universities and colleges per capita than any other Mexican city, Monterrey's is of one the highest educated population in Latin America. Monterrey is traditionally known for El cerro de la Silla (the Hill of the saddle), a mountain that looks like a horse saddle.  This is a landmark that symbolizes the State of Nuevo Leon .

Monterrey is a modern well-planned city where you can find many attractions. If you are an outdoors enthusiast you can go out and enjoy the mountains, canyons and deserts that surround the city, go hiking, mountain biking, cave exploring, take motorcycle tours around the Huasteca Canyon or Cola de Caballo and a variety of other tourist activities. If you prefer indoor activities, you can find quality restaurants, modern shopping malls, numerous museums and cultural spaces
