After being overweight most of my adult life and trying every new fad
that came on the market, I made the decision to end the yo-yo'ing once
and for all. After much research, I decided that the lap band was the
best choice for me. My decision to choose Dr. de la Garza and Lite N
Free was an easy one. Dr. de la Garza has an outstanding reputation and
is very skilled in doing lap band surgery. The facility in Monterrey
was immaculate, the staff and doctor were very kind and helpful, and
their patient coordinator, Stephanie, held my hand every step of the
way. My questions were promptly answered, and any fears I may have had
initially, quickly disappeared. I am approximately 5 months post
surgery and have lost 37 lbs. I still have about 30 lbs to go, but I am
ecstatic with my progress to date. My advice to any of you who have
quams about traveling to Mexico to have the surgery....forget about it!!
Dr. de la Garza and staff are wonderful, skilled professionals, who
probably have more experience than many US doctors. They sincerely care
about you, as an individual and this is very apparent both before and
after the surgery. Bottom line...I feel much better, I look better, I
am more confident and if I was faced with the decision of having the
lap band surgery again...I would do it a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone
