I have struggled with a weight problem my entire life. My family has a history of obesity and I have really struggled to keep the weight off. After I turned 40, I really started to gain weight and nothing I tried successfully took the weight off. I felt old, out-of-shape and depressed.

I started to research weight loss surgery and began to consult with several physicians here in the U.S. Once I realized the expense of the procedure, I researched facilities abroad and found Lite ‘n Free. I spoke with several of their patients and was convinced that Lite ‘n Free would be the solution to my problem.

Before

I was extremely pleased with the staff, my doctor, the anesthesiologists and the hospital facility in Monterrey. The patient coordinator was wonderful and looked after me during my entire stay.

Once I returned home, I was surprised with the level of follow-up, concern and interest in how I was doing. I really felt like they cared about my success. The ability to converse with other Lap-Band patients via discussion boards also made my experience rewarding. I felt as if I had friends out there who were going through the same thing and supported my weight loss.

Now it has been almost 1 year since my surgery, and I am thrilled with the results. I still want to lose about 10 more pounds, but my dream of becoming a thinner me has finally come true.
